€20,200 worth of cannabis herb was discovered by the county's Drug Unit and the Garda Dog Unit during a search in Portlaoise on Sunday.
Over €1,000 worth of cigarettes, and Zopiclone and Alprazolam tablets, with a combined value of nearly €500, were also seized.
A man in his 60s was arrested in relation to the investigation - he's since been released without charged, and a file is due to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
