A member of Gardaí was left hospitalised after the incident.
A man is due in court today following a public order incident in Offaly in the early hours of yesterday morning, which left a Garda hospitalised.
Gardaí attended the scene at William Street in Tullamore at 3.15am on Sunday.
A man in his 20s was arrested for public order offences, and a Garda member injured during the arrest was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
The man is due before Tullamore District Court today.
