A teenager has been arrested in relation to a car crash that killed a former midlands prison officer.
The incident occured on the N7 in Tipperary on Saturday afternoon, involving 65 year old Noel 'Hopper' McGrath and his wife.
Mr. McGrath, who previously worked in both Portlaoise and the Midlands Prisons, died in hospital after being transferred from the scene.
A man in his 30s has been released without charge, while a male teenager has now being arrested and detained at Templemore Garda Station.
