The Longford man is remanded on bail until October 13.
A man will stand trial after being accused of tasering somebody in a Midlands town earlier this year.
The Irish Independent is reporting 22 year old David Nevin of Camlin Meadows, Farneyhoogan, Longford is being charged with assault causing harm, violent disorder, and the production of a taser during a fight in Longford Town on February 9th.
The incident left a man in his 20s in Mullingar's Regional Hospital for treatment to cuts on his head, hands, and leg.
Gardaí say the man was walking through a housing estate in the town shortly after 9pm when the sustained assault is alleged to have taken place.
Judge Vincent Dean refused juristiction for the District Court, as the State readies a book of evidence.
Mr Nevin is remanded on bail until a sitting Longford District on October 13.
