Senior Lecturer at the Technological University of the Shannon, Dr. Geraldine McDermott, says it can be used to support students' learning.
This is despite concerns from the education sector of students using AI to gain an advantage in exams.
Dr. McDermott, who works in the Centre of Pedagogical Innovation and Development at TUS Athlone, says it's important AI is not being used in assessments:
