The Laois Offaly TD is reacting to the release of the Mental Health Commission's report.
Recruitment and the retention of staff should be prioritised in tackling waiting lists for mental health services in the midlands.
That's according to Laois Offaly Independent TD Carol Nolan, after the Mental Health Commission's latest report shows over 200 children and young people are waiting to see a specialist.
Nationally, 9 community healthcare settings across the HSE were examined and nearly four and half thousand children and teens are waiting to access services.
Deputy Nolan says there's also major problems with the CAMHS infrastructure:
