The midlands is under a yellow rain warning until 3pm.
A status yellow wind warning has been issued for the entire country until 6pm tonight.
A separate yellow rain warning is also in effect for Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and 18 other counties across the country until 3pm this afternoon.
Met Eireann is warning of difficult travelling conditions with the possibility of spot flooding in areas under the rain warning.
