Midlands Ambassadors Appointed For Census Exhibition

It's in advance of the landmark release of the 1926 Census of Population records on 18th April.

Midlands ambassadors are set to appear in an original Census Exhibition to act as representatives.

The National Archives of Ireland has formally unveiled 48 'Centenarian Ambassadors' in advance of the landmark release of the 1926 Census of Population records on 18th April.

Sr. Bosco Daly and Maureen Hanley are representing Offaly, John Patrick McNaboe is waving the flag for Westmeath.

A Census 1926 Exhibition Tour will also take place later this year, scheduled in Westmeath County Council Buildings, from 24th August- 5th September and the National Ploughing Championships in Offaly from the 15th-17th September.
