A new initiative aiming to reduce the prevalence of domestic violence is launching in the midlands today.
The Souls of our Shoes campaign displays comments from abuse survivors accompanied by around 50 pairs of shoes, to symbolise walking away from domestic violence.
The exhibition launches this evening at 8pm in St Mary's Church of Ireland, in Athlone, to coincide with 'Go Purple Day,' and will run through the Bank Holiday weekend.
