It gets underway this morning.
Community led peatland restoration projects will be on the agenda at a conference in the midlands today.
The Community Wetlands Forum is hosting the meeting in Abbeyleix to expand on finance and governance models for communities.
The event will feature talks from academics, social finance providers and Bord na Móna, and will explore the possibilities and concerns of private sector finance, and how communities themselves can be the leaders of restoration projects.
The conference will be held in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on Thursday June 8th this morning.
