People are being asked to consider their options before attending.
However. patients who require urgent care will be prioritised.
Anyone over the age of 16 are being reminded that they can attend the Regional Hospital Mullingar Minor Injury Unit which is located at Charter Medical Private Hospital, Ballinderry, Mullingar.
They can attend if they have the following injuries:
• Suspected broken bones to arm (from collar bone to fingertip)
• Suspected broken bones in legs (from knees to toes)
• Sprains and strains
• Wounds, bites (animal or insect) cuts, grazes and scalp laceration
• Minor burns and scalds
• Foreign bodies
• Minor chest injuries
