Gardai were alerted to an incident involving a single vehicle crash at Lisryan, Castlenugent in Co. Longford at around half 10 this morning.
When officers arrived at the scene they discovered the body of a woman in her 30s, the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardai are urging any road users who were travelling in the area between 6 yesterday evening and 10:30 this morning to come forward, they're particularly interested in speaking to those who have dash-cam footage.
