The HGV was stopped at a checkpoint yesterday and manipulation software was found to be installed on the vehicle.
The lorry was grounded and the driver issued with a court notice.
Separately, a number of fines were issued to drivers with bald tyres and the offending vehicles were only permitted to proceed once the tyres had been replaced.
