He's confirmed the cost of new mandatory sick leave won't be passed onto consumers.

The cost of introducing mandatory paid sick leave won't be passed onto consumers, according to the Irish Hotels Federation.

Legislation will be brought to the Dáil today, making it compulsory for employees be given ten days leave due to illness by 2026. 

Businesses will be liable for 70% of their staff's wage to a maximum of €110 a day.
