Instances of drug and drink driving were detected over the weekend by Laois gardaí.
Gardaí in the midlands have stopped two motorists for driving intosicated on the same night.
Laois Roads Policing Unit arrested one driver for being under the influence of alcohol, and another believed to be drug-driving when stopped on Sunday night.
The stops were made as part of regular patrols and checkpoints carried out by Laois Gardaí, who are asking the public to never ever driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
