Projects across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath have made the shortlist of 55 nominees.
Midlands projects are being recognised in the National Planning Awards.
The Irish Planning Institute is announcing the shortlist for the 2025 Planning Awards, celebrating innovation and sustainability in spatial planning.
Among the 55 nominees, Westmeath County Council was shortlisted for the Urban Regeneration Award for its Athlone Town Centre Enhancement Project.
Laois also features on the list, with the Mountrath Digital Twin Sustainable Communities Plan receiving a nomination in the Plan Making category.
Meanwhile, Offaly projects are represented through regional initiatives submitted by the Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly.
Winners will be announced at a gala event in Clontarf Castle in September.
