Rents in Offaly are up 7.2% when compared to the year previous.
Rents are up in the midlands.
The latest Daft Rent Price report shows there's been a 5.2% increase in the cost of renting a home in the region over the course of the last 12 months.
Offaly has seen the biggest jump when comparing Q1 of this year with the same period last year at 7.2%.
Westmeath follows with a 4.8% increase, and in Laois rents are up 4.2%.
Avergae rents are most expensive in Westmeath at €1,683 a month, now followed by Offaly at €1,642, and Laois at €1598.
Nationally, the average monthly asking price has risen above 2 thousand euro for the first time, up 3.4% in the first three months of the year.
