Midlands Road Safety Works Funding Falls Short Of Calls - Community Group

A community meeting last year heard calls for a new link road in the route to be progressed.

The Transport Minister has confirmed funding will be place for safety works on a midlands road.

A community meeting in Durrow last year heard concerns about the dangers of driving on the N52.

However, the funding does not relate to upgrading the new link road, from the N4 intersection at Kilbeggan to the Tullamore bypass, which the meeting was also calling for.

Charlie Kelleher is Chair of Durrow Community Development, which organised the gathering in December.

He says people in the town won't feel safe until the road gets the money it needs:
