It's the only secondary school in Laois without a sports hall.
A midlands secondary school is still without a sports hall, 13 years after a plan to install one had been put in place.
St. Fergal's College in Rathdowney received planning permission for the development in 2010, but funding for the project is still lacking, according to Laois Offaly TD Brian Stanley.
The school covers a large catchment area, serving students in Durrow, Cullahill, Errill, Borris-in-Ossory, Knockaroo, Cuddagh and Ballacolla.
