Miya Connolly Loonam was in Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin.
A midlands teenager who was seriously injured in a collision is out of ICU.
Miya Connolly Loonam was transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin after the crash earlier this month.
Miya's family say the move from ICU feels like nothing short of a miracle and she's beginning to regain some independence, by using a wheelchair and learning to use crutches.
They say watching her face each day with courage and determination has been incredibly moving and that she still faces a long road ahead and will need many surgeries.
Over €180,000 has been raised through a Go Fund Me page to support the Clara footballer and her family.
The family says they are receiving professional financial guidance to ensure all funds raised are managed carefully and used appropriately to support Miya’s recovery and future needs.
The GoFundMe page will remain opened for the next couple of weeks as fundraisers continue to happen.
They say the huge outpour of support has carried Miya and all the family through the darkest moments,
