A meeting is being held this evening to discuss the matter.
People and groups in a midlands town are being encouraged to make the most of Just Transition funding for local development.
Castlepollard Local Development Group are hosting a meeting tonight with guest Ciaran Mullooly, the new Just Transition Tourism Activator for Longford County Council.
One such project being put forward by the group is the redevelopment of the St Peter's Complex to hoefully be used as an educational facility.
The meeting will take place in the Castle Varagh Hotel in Castlepollard this evening from 7pm - 9pm.
Chair of the Castlepollard group, Stephen O'Brien says it's hard to know what will come of the funding until they hear more ideas:
