Kilkenny City was top of the Irish Business Against Litter survey for the 4th year in a row.
Irish Business Against Litter has announced the cleanest towns and cities in the country.
The business group records less litter on inner city streets compared with a decade ago - with Portlaoise ranking 7th out of the forty towns and cities surveyed.
Athlone comes in 12th - a drop from the runner up spot in last years survey.
Towns across Ireland did show an increase in litter levels compared with 2018.
