A midlands woman has taken menopause awareness into her own hands to help address the stigma.
Mary McHugh from Edenderry started feeling the effects of peri-menopause at the age of 34.
She said it turned her life into a nightmare - suffering with depression, anxiety and severe headaches, among other symptoms.
The mother of two has taken to social media to help other women suffering in silence - up over 60,000 views on her TikTok since Sunday.
