More than 250 In Midlands Still Waiting To See Psychologist

The figures were released in response to a parliamentary question.

New figures show 262 people in the midlands were waiting to see a psychologist in August of this year.

They include 19 patients waiting more than 39 weeks for treatment in Laois and Offaly.

The new information, released by the HSE in response to a parliamentary question, reveals 55 of the 114 assistant psychologist posts promised by the government in 2017 are currently filled.
