A motorist has been caught travelling nearly twice the speed limit in the midlands.
Gardaí spotted the motorist speeding at 115 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone in Birr Town.
That was just one of a number of detections made by Gardaí in 50 and 60 kilometre zones in the area.
All drivers were issued a fixed charge notice.
