A national mountain biking event is coming to the midlands for the first time.
The 12th edition of the 'Coillte Biking Blitz' series will take place in the Slieve Blooms this weekend.
Competitors will face off for a spot on the podium on a 45 kilometre track in Baunreagh in Laois on Saturday, and a 50 kilometre route at Kinnitty Castle in Offaly on Sunday.
