The ongoing issue was raised again at a meeting of Laois Joint Policing Committee.
A new action committee is being set up to tackle anti-social behaviour in Portlaoise.
It's in response to several concerns raised locally, most recently at this week's meeting of the Laois Joint Policing Committee.
The taskforce will act as means of communicating with gardaí regarding any disruptive and criminal behaviour.
