A Laois TD feels a new auto enrollment pension scheme is a "great opportunity" to help people with the cost of living when they retire.
The Oireachtas Committee on Social Protection is examining 'My Future Fund' which is set to start on January 1st next year.
Under the scheme, employees will pay a certain amount into their pension alongside their employer and the Government.
