The programme will help farmers get the most out of their land.
A partnership will see part-time farmers in Laois and Offaly given new training.
The Laois Offaly Education and Training Board have partnered with Teagasc to design an agricultural training programme to upskill farmers and help them get the most out of their land.
The programme will offer both accredited qualifications and non-accredited courses, and will allow participants to continue farming part time while studying.
Chief Executive of LOETB, Joe Cunningham says the collaboration marks a 'significant milestone' in the provision of agricultural education and in ensuring the 'sustainability' of the land-based sector.
