Teagasc has a new Regional Advisory Manager in the midlands.
Sandra Hayes will lead the Teagasc advisory team in Laois, Offaly, and Kildare after her appointment was approved this week.
Ms Hayes graduated from University College Dublin with a Degree in Agricultural Science, with a major in animal and crop production.
She currently co-ordinates the Teagasc/Tirlán Future Farm Joint Programme based in the Teagasc Kilkenny/Waterford advisory region - working closely with 11 dairy farmers, demonstrating best practices to a cohort of over 4,500 Tirlán suppliers across 12 counties.
The Teagasc Advisory Programme is now managed in 13 regions with Tom Kellegher over the Westmeath/Cavan/Monaghan Advisory Region.
