No Accountability In Public Sector While Ministers Are Blamed For Individual Errors

The HSE faces a mulit-million euro bill after failing to update its computer software in time.

There will be no accounability in public sector departments until ministers stop footing the blame for individual errors.

Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and Laois TD Seán Fleming believes change is required, but cannot commit to Fianna Fáil bringing such reform to pass. 

His comments come after a failure by the HSE to update its computer software, which could cause a multi-million euro bill for the tax-payer.
