The number of people receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in the midlands has returned to levels last seen in October.
Just over 10,300 people are claiming the income support in the region today, with 1,128 recipients closing their account in the last week to return to work.
Nationally, just short of 244,000 people are receiving the PUP payment this week.
From 1st July, the support scheme will be closed to new applications.
