A piano bought in Kilroy's in Tullamore which is now the Esker Arts Centre has been donated back to the building.
An Offaly arts centre is receiving a special donation with deep local roots.
The Murtagh/Connolly family are gifting a Waldemar upright piano to Esker Arts in Tullamore.
The late Una Murtagh bought the piano in the 1960s from Kilroy’s, a retailer once based in the Esker Arts building.
Ms Murthagh's family has long-standing ties to the arts, with her brother Gerard a concert pianist and Oliver an art teacher, her sister Colette is also an avid supporter of arts projects.
Sean Walsh, Artistic Director of Esker Arts, says the gift is a treasured heirloom that will be played and preserved for future generations:
