Scripts seeks to celebrate and develop story telling around the town of Birr.
An Offaly festival aimed at preserving the Irish tradition of creating new stories and storytelling kicks off today.
'Scripts' sees three writers mentored during the festival, with their work being performed at the end of the week and an overall winner announced.
The event, which is in it's 10th year, will be held in Birr Theatre and Arts Centre from today until Sunday.
