Offaly Community Safety Partnership Set To Launch In January

Peter Ormond is welcoming this decision.

The local community safety partnership in Offaly will finally be getting the green light.

Fianna Fail councillor Peter Ormond says members for the committee are set to meet in January to elect a chair, after being confirmed only last month.

The new structure, which is also set to be carried out in Laois and Westmeath will replace local policing committees which disbanded last June.

It brings a variety of voices together from society stakeholders to make communities safer.
