Offaly Coucillor Says Residents Of Some Estates Are Afraid To Leave Home

Four men suspected of being part of a hit squad remain in custody.

An Offaly councillor believes criminals have taken control of at least one housing estate in the county.

Ken Smollen says residents are living in terror and afraid to leave their home in some cases. 

His comments come as four men, believed to be part of a hit squad remain in custody in two garda stations in the midlands.
