An Offaly heritage site saw a drop of over four thousand visitors last year.
The latest visitor data from the OPW shows Clonmacnoise dropped from 122,718 visitors in 2023 to 118,337 visitors in 2024, a drop of 3.5%.
Over 13 million people visited heritage sites that require a ticket last year, with Dublin Castle the most visited site with over 720,000 visits.
