The inspection in question was carried out on the 4th of June.
An Offaly nursing home has been found to be non-compliant with safety standards.
Breaches in infection control and residents' rights were identified at the HSE's Community Nursing Unit in Birr during an inspection by the Health Information and Quality Authority on June 4th.
The HIQA report, published today, says 15 bedrooms with three and four residents did not ensure residents would be protected from cross-infection in the event of a covid outbreak, as beds were spaced less than two metres apart.
It also noted residents' privacy and dignity needs couldn't be met to an optimal standard in bedrooms with three or four residents, especially regarding screening during hoist transfers and protection from noise and odours.
