Fianna Fail's Tony McCormack feels most of the region is being neglected for IDA investment.
An Offaly TD believes the IDA is leading public representatives in the county "down the garden path" when it comes to investment and attention.
Fianna Fail's Tony McCormack says the business park in Tullamore has a proven track record but the town has seen IDA jobs decline from over 1,200 in the the 1980s to 700 today.
It comes after new figures show the State body for foreign direct investment has visited Westmeath five times more in the last decade than Laois or Offaly respectively.
