Just under one in every five children aged 5-11 have had a covid-19 vaccine.

Offaly leads the midlands when it comes to vaccine take-up among five to eleven year old children.

18.3 per cent of children in that age bracket have completed a 'primary course' of a covid-19 vaccine.

Edenderry: 19%

Tullamore: 19%

Birr: 17%

The figure is 18% for Laois:

Borris-in-Ossary/Mountmellick: 18%

Portlaoise: 18%

And 16.7% in Westmeath:

Moate: 18%

Athlone (Westmeath): 17%

Kinnegad: 16%

Mullingar: 16%

The completion rate varied from 4% in Buncrana in Donegal to 56% in Stillorgan, Dublin.
