The development has received a massive €95 million investment from Statkraft
Construction on a new windfarm in Offaly will begin next month.
Statkraft have confirmed the nine-turbine Cushaling Wind Farm will generate 55.8 milliwatts of power when it's operational.
The company was granted planning permission for the €95 million investment, which will include the largest turbines of any wind farm in the country, back in 2020.
Statkraft Ireland have also confirmed the new windfarm is expected to be operational by late 2024.
