The HSE outbreak control team is dealing with the issue.
The HSE is dealing with an outbreak of covid-19 at an Offaly nursing home.
It says it cannot comment on individual cases but has confirmed the outbreak at Ofalia House Community Nursing Unit in Edenderry.
Sources say there are over 40 cases between patients and staff.
A spokesperson for the HSE says an outbreak control team is being set up to provide advice and guidance.
Support from Infection Prevention and Control, Public Health and the local rapid response team has also been mobilised and staffing issues have been addressed.
According to HIQA, the facility has a maximum capacity of 28 residents.
