Laois is the big winner from the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme, receiving €160,000, with initiatives such as Whitehorse River Walk, Dunamase College and Courtwood-Barrow Blueway Access Trail all receiving €20,000 each there.
€88,000 was spread across groups in Westmeath such as Tullaghan Lough Owel Amenity and Rahanine Bog Walk .
While projects at Ormond Way and the Slieve Bloom Mountains will share in the €68,000 granted to Offaly.
