The county will receive over €40m in investment under the National Broadband Plan.
Over 1,000 more premises in Westmeath can now access high speed broadband.
Homes, farms and businesses in Lismacaffrey, Hilltown and Coole, as well as those on the Westmeath - Longford border can now avail of the fibre broadband under the National Broadband Plan.
This brings the total number of premises in the county with access to high speed connectivity to 8,600.
12,000 premises in Westmeath are included in the State's Interbention Area, and the county is set to receive €46m of Government Investment under the plan
