Over 1,500 Come Off Pandemic Payment Across The Midlands

The total in receipt of the payment is now 24,200.

1,600 fewer people in the midlands will receive the pandemic unemployment payment this week.

Westmeath has dipped below the 10,000 mark, a decrease of 600 reducing the total figure to 9,700. 

600 people in Offaly have also come off the scheme, leaving the total in the county at 7,300. 

Laois remains the least affected county, a drop of 400 claiming the payment has their figure at 7,200.

That means the combined number in the region is 24,200.
