In the midlands, there are currently nine people without a bed in hospitals.

The majority of those are in Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise at eight, while just one person in Mullingar Hospital in on a trolley.

Tullamore Hospital has not had a patient on a trolley yet so far this year.
