From consumerism to AI - here's the full list of Midlands schools at the RDS this year.
Over 70 entries from the Midlands will be judged in this year's Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
Today marks the opening day of the event with President Catherine Connolly set to officially kick off proceedings later.
More than 200 prizes will be up for grabs, including a place in the EU Contest for Young Scientists for the overall winner.
This year's event is sponsored by Stripe which was founded by former Young Scientist winner Patrick Collison.
The tech company's Head of the Exhibition Niamh O'Donnellan explains why they felt the need to get involved:
