Some previously facilitated projects include renovation of community centres.
The Department of Rural and Community Development is making more than €175,000 available to enhancement projects in the Midlands.
Offaly will benefit to the tune of around €59,000, Laois and Westmeath will both be given over 58,000.
Applications can be made to each local authority, with a inital closing date of September 30th given by the Department.
Some of the projects facilitated by the scheme previously include renovation of community centres, improvements to town parks and purchase of equipment for community usage such as defibrillators.
