Passengers want to see more carriages added to some train routes.
Elderly people are being forced to stand on trains from Mullingar to Dublin due to overcrowding.
That's the claim being made by Castlepollard's Pat Davitt, who regularly avails of the same service, and says he can't understand why more carriages cannot be provided.
41 additional train carriages are due to come into service early next year, although there's no definite decisions made on what routes they will be placed on.
Mr. Davitt says people will look to other modes of transport if this continues:
