The hospital has been blighted with overcrowding on an ongoing basis.
Mullingar Regional Hospital adult emergency department is busy this morning.
In a statement this morning, management says staff are working to manage the current adult in-patient and Covid-19 bed capacity, along with scheduled care.
Patients are being asked to consider alternatives, like visiting your GP or local pharmacy, before presenting at the ED.
If you do come to ED and are not triaged as seriously ill, you may need to wait for a long period to be seen.
Adult patients who require urgent care will be prioritised though.
This is the fifth such notice in the last week.
